Yoda is a stern, but benevolent, teacher of the Jedi. The humble Yoda, who offers enlightened leadership, epitomizes the ideals of the Jedi Order. With a height of 66 cm he is one of the smallest members of the Jedi Council and arguably the wisest and most powerful Jedi of all time. He is considered the best duelist in the Jedi Order of his day. Over his 900-year lifespan, Yoda trains several notable Jedi, including Count Dooku, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ki-Adi-Mundi and eventually Luke Skywalker. Before the Great Jedi Purge, he had trained almost every Jedi in the Galaxy since he instructed all younglings in the Jedi Temple before they were assigned to a master.Following initial his training, Yoda is spent 100 years in self-imposed solitude, attempting to attain a higher level of understanding of the Force. Following the Great Jedi Purge, Yoda spent the rest of his live on the swamp planet of Dagobah hiding from the likes of Darth Vader and the Emperor and enjoying the fresh swamp fish that he may or may not have eaten and the occasional prank on an unsuspecting R2 unit.
